How CyberAlert.io handles information about you. Last updated 31 October 2026.

Who we are

CyberAlert.io is run by Jovan Stojanović, Belgrade, Serbia ("we"). We decide how the information described here is used. For anything about your data, write to info@cyberalert.io.

What we collect, and why

Messages you send us

The contact form asks for your name, your email address, a subject and your message. We use them only to read and answer you, which is in our legitimate interest and is what you ask us to do. Messages reach us by email and are not stored on the website. We keep the correspondence for as long as we need it, and at most two years.

Listing requests

The "Get listed" form on the Vendors page asks for your company name, a work email address, your company website, a solution area and a description. We use them to review the request and to contact you about it. If we list the company, the details on its page come from its own website, not from the form.

Statistics, only if you agree

If you accept statistics cookies in the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to see how the site is used: which pages are viewed, searches and filters on the CVE feed, links followed to other sites, calendar downloads and forms sent, along with your browser, device type and approximate location (country and city, which Google works out from your IP address without storing it). We do this on the basis of your consent. If you do not accept, no statistics cookies are set and nothing that identifies your browser is sent. You can change your choice at any time from the cookie settings.

Server and security logs

Like every website, the servers record each request: your IP address, the date and time, the address asked for and your browser's description. The hosting provider and its firewall use these logs to keep the site running and to block attacks, which is in our legitimate interest. They are kept for a limited time under the host's own policy.

Missing pages

When an address on the site does not exist, we record the address and how often it was asked for, so we can fix broken links. This record holds nothing about who asked.

Cookies

Necessary cookies remember your cookie choice and, for our administrators only, keep them signed in. Statistics cookies (Google Analytics: _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) are set only after you accept them. Our cookie policy, linked from the cookie banner, lists every cookie.

What we do not do

You do not need an account to use the site. We show no advertising, we do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not use it to build profiles of people.

Who else receives data

  • Our hosting provider, which runs the servers the site and its forms run on.
  • Our email provider, which delivers form messages to us.
  • Google, for statistics and only if you agree. Data may be processed in the United States; Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

We share nothing else, unless the law requires it.

AI-assisted news

News stories are drafted with Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic, from news outlets' published headlines and summaries and from public vulnerability data. No information about visitors is sent to Anthropic.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to limit or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Write to info@cyberalert.io and we will answer within 30 days. You can also complain to Serbia's Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection, or to the data protection authority in your own country.

Security

The whole site is served over HTTPS. Only our administrators can change it, and the editing desk asks for a password and a one-time code.

Changes

When we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page.
